Dr. John-Paul Bacik was recently elected to the Canadian Light Source (CLS) Users Executive Committee.

Dr. Bacik, part of the HWI’s Industrial Macromolecular Crystallography Association Collaborative Access Team (IMCA-CAT), uses synchrotron light sources around the world to collect data for member companies, including several of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies. The Users Executive Committee at the Canadian Light Source represents users and provides feedback for improving user experience, research programs, and future upgrades.

Dr. Bacik noted, “as a Canadian and frequent user of the CLS over many years, it is an honor to serve on this committee. I look forward to meeting and working with other members of the committee”. Dr. Bacik represents industry in the health research area on the Committee and will serve for a three-year term. This demonstrates the impact that HWI is making on leading science internationally.
