My Interests

I obtained a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University at Buffalo, State University of New York and did postdoctoral training in the field of Biochemistry before joining the Malkowski Laboratory in 2005. My interests are in the structural determination and functional characterization of membrane proteins, which is essential to our understanding of disease states and a critical component of the design of novel drugs.

I am a Staff Scientist in the laboratory of Dr. Michael Malkowski, where I am involved in all aspects of the structure determination pipeline, from gene cloning and expression, through protein purification and crystallization.
