HWI Invites Hauptman Society Members and Guests to New “Coffee & Conversation” Series

Hauptman Society members are some of our most dedicated and invested supporters, with a deep connection to our mission and work.  In this spirit of connection, Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute leadership launched a new quarterly small-group “Coffee & Conversation” series on Friday, June 7.  This series, open to Hauptman Society members and their guests, will feature a different member of HWI’s research or leadership team discussing their work and interests, followed by a tour of the building and labs.  HWI President & CEO Dr. Edward Snell served as our first speaker; he gave an overview of HWI’s current work and our emerging Cryo-EM center.  Following questions from the group, HWI High Throughput Crystallization Screening Center head Dr. Sarah Bowman took the attendees on a tour where they saw first-hand some of the work being done in the labs.

Our next Coffee & Conversations groups will take place at 8:30 am on September 6, and on December 6.  Hauptman Society members can reserve spots for themselves and their guests by emailing Jill Szczesek at jszczesek@hwi.buffalo.edu or calling her at 716.898.8597.
